At Color Hotel Skagen, you’ll find facilities for both relaxation and activities during your stay. Take a swim in our heated outdoor pool, enjoy the hot tub and sauna, rent a bike and explore Skagen, or make use of our activity room and outdoor fitness area.

Pool, hot tub & sauna
As a hotel guest, you have free access to our courtyard with a heated outdoor pool, hot tub and sauna. The facilities are open all year round, with seasonal opening hours.
Covered terrace
Our covered terrace is the perfect place to relax, whatever the season. In summer, you can enjoy cold drinks and light meals while savouring life around you.
In winter, you can enjoy warm patio heaters and hot drinks in cosy surroundings. During the festive season, the patio is transformed into a true fairytale with Christmas lights and decorations that light up the darkness.
Fitness
A stay with us is not only about peace of mind, but also about wellbeing in the body. It is about sensing yourself – in the way that suits you best.
Our well-equipped fitness area is located separately from the rest of the hotel, giving you space to move your body and find balance. Here you can run, cycle, row or do strength training at your own pace, with your breath as your companion. The machines are modern and easy to use, and the surroundings are calm and intimate.
Opening hours: Every day from 7.30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Activity room
In our activity room, you can bring out your inner playmate and challenge your loved ones. Whether you're into darts, table tennis, table football or billiards, it's the perfect place to take a break from the peace and quiet and feel the energy bubble. The activity room is the hotel's break room - with soft sofas for chatting and relaxing, and a small playroom for the little ones so the whole family can be together.
Bike hire
There's something special about experiencing Skagen by bike. You'll whizz through the town's cobbled streets, along the beach and out into the wide open spaces - all at your own pace, with the wind in your hair and the sun at your heels. We rent comfortable bikes from reception so you can get going quickly. Picnic at Grenen, find a deserted beach or follow the paths to the Church of Our Saviour. It's not about how far you go, it's about everything you feel along the way.
Rental price: DKK 110 per day.
Running, hiking and cycling routes
Just outside the hotel door, the landscape begins. Here you'll find trails that wind through the dunes, routes that take you into the wild and roads that call for rhythm. Whether you're up for a short morning hike, a sunrise run or a day of mountain biking through Skagen's breathtaking nature on hilly terrain - you decide. At reception, we provide maps for both classic and hidden and unspoilt routes.

Beach volleyball
Behind the hotel, a little gem of activity and presence awaits you. Our beach volleyball court is ready for you to feel the pulse, the competition and the laughter. Gather children, adults, friends and colleagues. Borrow a ball from reception and start playing the game.

Parking
As our guest, you can of course park for free in our large car park - right by the door, of course. If you have an electric car, we offer charging for DKK 200 for 8 hours. At reception you'll find everything you need - including a charging cable if you haven't brought your own.

Bring your dog
For many of us, the dog is an important part of the family - so of course it should come on holiday with us. At Color Hotel Skagen we have special double rooms and holiday apartments in the cosy side wings where your dog is very welcome (subject to a fee and advance reservation). We've made it easy and safe - but we also ask that dogs are not brought into the main building and common indoor areas for the sake of other guests. Outside, you'll find plenty of paths, open spaces and exciting smells - just the thing for curious noses and wagging tails.

24-timers room service
Sometimes you feel the need for something extra - when the bar is closed or when darkness has fallen and you just need a drink or a snack in bed. That's why we have 24-hour room service. Our reception and night porters are ready to take your order - day and night. Because life is not only lived in a fixed framework. It's in the impulsive moments that you feel most at home. Just give us a call and we'll be there.

Is there parking?
Guests can park for free in the hotel car park. Electric cars can be charged for a fee - ask the reception for more information.
Can I bring a dog?
Dogs are welcome - but remember to book them.
We have a limited number of rooms in different categories at Heather Garden wing, where your dog is also welcome (for a fee). So if your four-legged friend is coming for a stay, we just need to know in advance - so please let us know when booking and we'll make sure you get a dog-friendly room.
